The Wedding

Again, I will post more pictures as soon as I get them but here is one of my little brother and his new bride on the dance floor. Claire of course loved her Aunt Steff's dress and throughout the ceremony and reception Claire would look for Steff and wave at her.

California Day 4

We had a fun morning taking the girls to the beach again so they could build sandcastles, find shells, and this time Gracie got to hold her first sand crab. After a fun morning we got ready for the big event. I do not have pictures yet from the wedding but as soon as the professional shots are posted I will get some up on the blog. The wedding was beautiful and Claire had a great time socializing and dancing the night away.

California Day 3

We started off with 'Pancakes at the Pier' and joined some of the other out of town family for breakfast at Ruby's Diner. We spent time at the pool and then enjoyed a very nice rehearsal dinner that evening for Chris and Steff.

California Day 2

Claire dressed as Cinderella at Granny's house.
We had a nice restful morning at the beach house before getting ready and heading out to Disneyland. Both girls had a great time at Disneyland and we managed to get on at least 4 rides and let Claire spend plenty of time with the Disney princesses. Claire made it all the way through the day and was able to watch the firework show at the end of the night. Gracie slept through most of the Disney day but she still had fun riding the Dumbo ride and the carousel with my dad. Both my girls went crazy meeting Winnie-the-Pooh, it was really cute. I also got to visit with one of my girlfriends from high school and meet her two little cuties.

Claire loved the teacups and wanted to go again.

My sweet, happy Gracie!

Claire still loves her Winnie.

Claire marched around Disneyland holding her new umbrella.

Claire immediately ran to Winnie and gave him a prolonged hug.

California Day 1

Sleeping on the plane ride over.

We headed out to California this past week to celebrate my little brother's wedding. The flight went well but we also had my parents and my granny to help us out. Gracie slept most of the time and Claire did much better at entertaining herself the whole flight. This was probably due to knowing that the last time she was on a plane it took her someplace fun and new where she got lots of love and attention (our trip to Michigan). We landed, rented a van, and drove to my Granny's beach house in San Clemente. These are some pictures of Claire building sand castles with her Papi (grandpa) and holding her first sand crab. Claire loved playing in the sand and running all over my grandma's house. She was not a big fan of the cold ocean water, but I can't blame her. She spent most of her time in the warm sand ordering her Papi to bring her buckets of water from the ocean to play with.

She loved holding the sand crab and kept petting it very gently.

You can see Gran's beach house in the far upper right corner. It's the one on the hill.
