Our Rockport vacation

Mom and dad rented a cute beach house to stay in and we all loved it. The kids did great all sleeping in one room. They loved going to the beach everyday and cried when it was time to pack up and go home. We drove from Rockport to SeaWorld at the end of our week and had a blast. The kids were old enough to go on the rides and Claire and Grace could ride by themselves. The kids loved the huge splash pad at SeaWorld and we ended the day with a show. After that we headed over to my Aunt Olivia's house and stayed the night. In the morning we headed out to see the Alamo and the river walk. We rode a river boat and had a nice lunch before loading up and driving home. The kids did great on our first official family vacation.

Here are some pictures of our time in Granbury. We shopped, ate hamburgers and french fries, and then played at the beach. We love taking Oma and Opa to Granbury when they visit.

Luke is 2!

April 24th Lukey turned two years old. He is still the baby of the house and gets carried around and coddled too much. My sweet baby is over 30 lbs of heavy love and is the reason my hips are such a mess (I still carry him way too much). Oh, but this big guy has my heart in such a special way. He is so squeezable and cuddly and melts my heart. He has the biggest cheeks and cutest smile.

Oma and Opa flew in from Michigan the week of his birthday and were able to celebrate with us. Using Claire as our translator we were able to figure out Lukey wanted a Hulk birthday party. One of our neighbors brought over everything we needed for a Hulk party. I let the girls decorate the table after Luke went to bed and they were thrilled to be up late and helping with the party. Oma made sticky buns for everyone before church and then later in the evening we celebrated with gifts and cake.
