Here comes the sun

After weeks of cold weather we finally had a couple of days in a row of warm sun. It was in the 70s on one day so we all took advantage and played outside. I set up the water table (one of those toys you are glad you bought because it is loved and used for years) and put the girls in swimsuits. Of course water play is always more fun if everyone gets popsicles :) Here are some pics of us enjoying the sunny weather.

Michigan

We flew to Michigan a few days after Christmas for a whirlwind trip of celebrations. We celebrated Christmas with the Kruis family and then after the holiday festivities we were in wedding mode. Katie got married while we were out there and we were so blessed to be able to be apart of her wedding. I was terrible at taking pictures so I will have to gather more from other people. The girls had a great time at their Oma and Opa's house. They played with their cousins, stayed up late, ate lots of holiday sweets,  went sledding, and got to be in a wedding. It was quite the trip.

All bundled to go sledding with her daddy

She's married!!

Our sweet Katie is married now and that makes the final sibling out of both our families to get married. She married Matthew Entingh on New Year's Eve and the girls and I were apart of the wedding. I was one of her bridesmaids and Claire and Grace were flower girls. Grace never made it down the aisle but Claire was the perfect flower girl and loved her role. It was a beautiful snowy day and I can't wait to see all the professional pictures. Kate had all of us bridesmaids pose with her out in the snow, it was crazy cold but so beautiful outside. Katie wore her mother's wedding dress and Claire couldn't get enough of the bride on that day. She wanted to help Katie put on her shoes and she even rubbed Katie's feet before the wedding! What service from the flower girl. Congratulations to our sweet Katie, we love her so much and were so thrilled for her.

Santa Claire and Cozy PJs

Claire still fit into the Santa outfit my dad bought her last year and the girls had fun with that for a bit. I put the costume on the girl's stuffed Winnie the pooh doll for Christmas morning and they loved that. On Christmas Eve I made the girls and I Mexican hot chocolate and put them in their cozy christmas pjs (that my mom bought them). They were so cute sipping their hot cocoa by the fireplace. It was nice to have a low key Christmas Eve and Christmas this year.

Pom Pom Heads

My parents bought the girls these cute winter hats for our trip to snowy Michigan but since Fort Worth had its fair share of cold weather the girls got a lot of use out of these hats. Claire calls them the Pom Pom Heads and I just had to post a few pics of the girls wearing them.
