We celebrated Claire's birthday this past weekend and decided to give her the birthday party of her choice, which was of course a ballerina party. So I went to work decorating in pink and planning a party of tutus and frills. With the help of my parents, husband, my Aunt Ysa and Uncle Victor, and my friends Isabel and Mary Jeanne the party was a success. All the wonderful decorations I borrowed from Mary Jeanne and my Aunt Ysa made the birthday cake and all the ballet slipper and tutu cookies. On the agenda for this party we had an actual ballerina come and give the girls a mini lesson, this ended up being a huge hit! Then my dad drew a cute little ballerina for the girls to play, pin the tutu on the ballerina. For the menu I did mini fruit parfaits, heart shaped ham and cheese sandwiches, strawberry and vanilla wafers, and raspberry lemonade. The adult table had fruit, trail mix with pink m-n-ms, and sandwiches. We all had a great time and I still can't believe my baby is 3 years old :) Here are some pictures of the party.
