Dreaming of a White Christmas

The girls went crazy for the snow and the timing was perfect, it snowed Christmas morning. This was Gracie's first time in the snow and she seemed pretty unsure of the whole thing. Big sister loved running in it, picking it up, throwing it, and putting against her cheeks.

Tis the season

We are getting into the Christmas season...finally. Claire is very into Santa this year and was thrilled to see Santa hats in our decorations. She got very creative and decided to put our tree skirt on as a cape with her Santa hat. Once she was decked out she spent the day having Jason and I tell her what we wanted for Christmas. She stopped answering to Claire and wanted to be addressed as Santa. We did our first seasonal craft and headed to my mom's house to make gumdrop trees. It was an easy, inexpensive craft. 99 cents for the gumdrops and the twigs were all free, compliments of a neighbor who had trimmed his trees. Claire and Grace enjoyed eating the gumdrops more than they did putting them on the trees but overall still had a blast. We also went to the mall to see Mrs. Claus and she read, did a puppet show, and lots of dancing with the kids. The girls got free goodie bags and a cookie at the end. Claire was sitting by me but when Mrs. Claus started handing out reindeer antlers she ran up and stayed in the front the rest of the time. It was cute to see her up there participating. She had a great time. Next up, getting our tree this Saturday :)
